Dramatic footage captures the moment a 15-year-old boy was Tasered by police.
Greater Manchester Police say officers were on patrol when they 'observed a public order offence'.
The video shows the incident on Cobden Street in Salford at around 11.15am on Tuesday morning (October 6).
The force said two officers were allegedly assaulted and 'a piece of police equipment was snatched from one of them'.
"To maintain the safety of all involved, an officer deployed their Taser," a statement added.
"A 15-year-old boy was subsequently detained and, in line with normal procedure, taken to hospital as a precaution."
Footage shows the boy struggling as police attempt to restrain him.
An officer is heard shouting 'Taser, Taser' before deploying the weapon.
The boy is seen rolling around on the pavement before he is handcuffed.
A bystander is heard shouting: "She just Tasered a 15-year-old."
A number of police vehicles later arrived at the scene, before the boy was led into the back of a van.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct said they had not been made aware of the incident.
The full GMP statement read: "At 11.10am on Tuesday, October 6, police on a routine patrol of the Salford area observed a public order offence.
"Whilst responding, two officers were assaulted and a piece of police equipment was snatched from one of them.
"To maintain the safety of all involved, an officer deployed their Taser.
"A 15-year-old boy was subsequently detained and, in line with normal procedure, taken to hospital as a precaution."
