Police in Edinburgh recovered a vehicle after it was abandoned during an alleged chase involving the driver.
Officers pursued the driver on Slateford Road, around 6pm on Thursday, October 6, after they failed to pull over.
A local in the area reported the red SEAT Ibiza abandoned in the middle of the road with the lights still on near Slateford and said it was consequently blocking cars from getting past.

Police confirmed officers chased the vehicle that was later found on Hutchison Park, although there was no trace of the driver.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Thursday, 6 October, 2022, a car failed to stop for officers on Slateford Road, Edinburgh.
“Officers pursued the car which was later found abandoned on Hutchison Park.
“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.”
