Dashcam footage has been released showing the terrifying moment when a bin lorry smashed through a highway ramp and plummeted 75 feet to the ground.
The driver, Kaseem Smith, miraculously survived the accident despite not wearing a seatbelt.
It has been reported the 32-year-old was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but has since been released.
Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Joe Sanchez said: “I’ve never seen an accident like this where someone has survived it. So on that day, God gave him an opportunity for a second life.”
"From the video in and of itself one has to look at it - how did he survive this, because this is short of a miracle."
The incident took place on 15 February; with the bin lorry eventually ending up in the parking lot of Jose Marti Park underneath Interstate 95 in Miami.
