Dramatic dachshund won't drink a puppuccino unless it’s from Starbucks

Just like humans can taste the difference between good coffee and bad coffee - dogs reckon they can sniff out a fake puppuccino, too.

And one demanding dachshund will refuse to eat his whipped cream treat unless it’s in a specific cup.

Harlee, a long haired dapple dachshund, from Liverpool, will not eat his puppuccino unless it’s in a Starbucks cup.

But his owner has come up with a sneaky way to get him to consume a ‘fake’ drink at home, by saving the mini cardboard cup that Starbucks pup-cups come in.

The three-year-old mini daxie’s TikTok is filled with videos of him enjoying his favourite treat, but a weekly trip to Starbies for the dog can prove pretty costly - especially if you're getting your own iced caramel latte each time too.

Harlee’s owner tried to make Harlee a puppuccino at home, using piped whipped cream in a glass mug, even using a nozzle that mimics the piping of Starbucks’ pup-cups.

However, the pampered pup knew he was being duped, and thought the treat looked ‘suspicious’ in a TikTok video that reached over 110,000 people.

He cautiously licks the whipped cream, but certainly isn’t sure about the imposter puppuccino before deciding it ‘tastes funny’.

His owner then scoops the cream into their trusty Starbucks cup, adding extra cream with ‘aerosol cream sound effects for extra convincing’, before presenting it to the pup.

Harlee - who has 10k Instagram followers - sticks his snoot straight in the cup to enjoy his ‘real’ Starbucks puppuccino, saying it’s ‘so much better’.

Other coffee lovers have agreed that their drinks always taste better in the branded cups, with one viewer writing: “My coffee tastes better in a Starbucks cup too, so I can relate.”

People have been obsessed with Harlee’s diva attitude, too, with one commenting: “Tell me you have a dachshund without telling me you have a dachshund.”

Another added: “Haha, zero hesitation the second time.”

The American Kennel Club describe the breed as ‘a bit stubborn’ - they’re certainly a breed that know what they like and will go to any lengths to get it.

In another impossibly cute clip, Zero thinks that there’s another dachshund in the fireplace that simply won’t play with him - truth is, it’s just his reflection.

But that doesn’t stop him pining for his playmate.

In another viral video, one sausage dog owner built his three dachshunds their own living room , complete with a TV, bar cart and sofas.

The dogs, named Peaches, Mitza and Challah are said to have a better kept apartment than most humans, with a fish tank, modern lamps and rugs.
