Dramatic clip shows van engulfed in fireball by side of Scots road as crews race to scene

This is the dramatic scene by the side of a Scots road after a van was engulfed in a huge fireball.

Emergency services raced to Carnegie Drive in Dunfermline after the vehicle was spotted on fire at around 7.40pm on Friday, July 23.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance battling the blaze.

Dramatic footage from the scene, filmed by a passer-by showed the back of the white van engulfed in flames.

Seconds later flames burst out the driver's side window.

It's not believed anyone has been injured as a result of the blaze.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We got the call at 19.38pm on Friday, July 23 reporting a van on fire outside the sheriff court on Carnegie Drive in Dunfermline.

"We currently have one appliance in attendance and fighters are working to extinguish the flames.

"Police will be attending to help control traffic."

Police Scotland confirmed they are in attendance to deal with traffic management.
