Drama on Good Morning Britain as a mouse gets into the studio

There was drama on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday morning as a MOUSE got into the studio.

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were presenting the daily breakfast show as usual, when they had the uninvited furry visitor.

Shortly before 7am, Piers Morgan declared "Breaking news! There's a mouse on the studio floor"

And later on, as the studio cameras caught it scurrying around, Piers decided to give it a few names.

A viewer got in touch to say "they should call the mouse Boris as it's always running away to hide".

Susanna remarked: "you make a good point, it doesn't want to appear on Good Morning Britain, it's just gone into the This Morning studio - rather like the Prime Minister"

Earlier, as the cameras panned around the floor of the studio at Television Centre in West London, Piers told viewers: "There have been shrieks and wails! There has been a lot of drama here in the commercial break."

"He [the mouse] is under one of the cameras. We just don't know now which one."

Turning to Ranvir Singh, Piers said "You're terrified of mice?"

She hit back with: "I don't like it! Laura [Tobin] screamed and I saw it scurrying around - I had one in my house once," to which Piers Morgan pretended to scream like her.

"It seems like a crocodile had arrived on the set!" mocked Piers, as weather presenter Laura Tobin told viewers "I saw something move and I was like ARGH!"

Susanna joked: "We'll bring you right up to date, we're across that story and we've got a full surveillance team on the mouse."

A couple of minutes later, as Piers Morgan was trying to talk about an item involving Arsenal player Nicklas Bendtner's new book, commotion behind the cameras caused Susanna Reid to interject - and the studio crew revealed they had found the mouse.

And Susanna Reid revealed it was in the 'Jib's Ped' - the base of the crane camera used in the studio.
