Drake tour tickets touted for close to £1000 minutes after going on sale

Drake fans have been left fuming after touts snapped up tickets for his upcoming Assassination Vacation tour before attempting to sell them for hundreds of pounds online.

The Canadian artist released tickets on Friday morning at 9am, but minutes later they were being advertised on Viagogo for shy of £1000.

Some tickets were marked up between £127-400 for gigs in London and Birmingham, while a level one ticket for Manchester Arena in April would set fans back £595.

A VIP ticket for his last night at London’s O2 arena, which includes access to the VIP lounge and unrestricted views, was being touted for £714.

Touts: Drake tickets were flogged on Viagogo

Fans were left fuming with the hiked prices, days after complaining the original pricing was too expensive. General sale tickets for standing were priced at £140 while seated tickets ranged from £53 to as much as £174.

“Drake has violated me with those ticket prices,” one fan tweeted.

“People are going broke over tickets to see Drake and Tory Lanez (sic),” posted another.

A third wrote: “Cba with Drake tickets selling out in approx 1 min cos all the touts have got them now n r gonna rinse people for them.”

Another tweeted: “Just seen some lad selling their drake ticket for €250. Man I hate those d****.”

Drake, real name Aubrey Graham, will play six dates at the O2, as well as in Birmingham, Dublin and Manchester for the UK and Ireland leg. Torey Lanez and BBC 1Xtra DJ Tiffany Calver will support.

He last toured in 2017 after the release of his fourth album, Views.
