Drake is rumoured to be worth £146million and is one of the highest paid entertainers in the world.
So dropping a cheeky £4million on a watch as a birthday treat for himself seems reasonable, right?
The Canadian rapper turned 35 on October 24 and, as well as hosting a huge party, he bought a rare Richard Mille watch to celebrate.
Despite the cost – and Drake’s love of all things bling – there are no diamonds encrusted in the one-of-a-kind timepiece.
But it is said to be encased in sapphire crystal and uses the incredibly complex tourbillon movement technology, according to TMZ.

Although it might seem like a lavish purchase, the watch has already gone up in value since it was made in 2019.
Back then it was worth just over £2 million, so it has already almost doubled in price.
Drake is thought to have bought the ultra-rare watch as an investment piece for years to come, so who knows how much he might sell in for in the future.
He showed off his new wrist bling in a photo posted on Instagram by high end New York jewellery brand, Pristine Jewelers.
The One Dance singer wore a plush velvet jacket in the shot which he teamed with a cream turtleneck top and smart cream trousers. He completed his look with a pair of Chelsea boots.
He held up his wrist so fans could get a glimpse of his most recent purchase.
“DO IT FOR THE CULTURE. 1 of 1 #rm5601sapphire Happy 35th bday you did it right,” the caption on the post said.

The jewellery brand have over 369,000 followers and are the team behind some of hip hop’s biggest bling.
They are famous for designing celebrity engagement rings, including Cardi B’s.
Another thing stars, such as Travis Scott, DJ Khaled and Floyd Mayweather, regularly flock to them for is to ‘ice out’ their watches with diamonds.
Drakes’s new Richard Mille watch is just one of many expensive watches the rapper owns – and he loves getting them customised.
He has more than one flashy Rolex, including a Chrome Hearts timepiece with a gold dial and hands which is encrusted with diamonds.
The star is said to have dropped another £50,000 on a custom-made Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch, made with bespoke jewellery designer to the stars, Mad Paris. Only 40 of these watches exist in the world, making it another rare investment purchase.
The watch lover also has a showstopper of a timepiece from Jacob & Co which has a working roulette table under the watch face.
In addition to his birthday present, Drake dressed up as a cowboy – complete with fringed jacket and Stetson - for a Halloween-themed bash in LA.
