Drake sends Maya Jama fans wild as he calls her 'sweet one' in new song

Drake has called Bristol's Maya Jama a "sweet one" in the first line of his new tune.

The Canadian rapper, 33, teamed up with London rapper Headie One to release a track called Only You Freestyle on July 20.

In the opening lines, he drops the name of 25-year-old television presenter Maya, who grew up in inner-city Bristol and attended Cotham School.

Drake raps: "Chubbs might jam this yute for a chain, and gave it to a sweet one, called that Maya Jama."

The Mirror reports the lyric has sparked frenzied fan speculation over whether Drake and Maya could be an item.

The former Radio 1 star jetted out to Ibiza yesterday (July 20) for a holiday with her pals.

In March, we reported how Maya was locked down in Bristol at the start of the coronavirus outbreak, keeping fans entertained with videos from her garden.
