Drake’s Warriors tattoos make for an awkward NBA Finals matchup

Nobody has enjoyed the Raptors’ run to the NBA Finals more than Drake. The rapper has spent the entire postseason taunting opponents from his courtside seat and getting so into the action that Nick Nurse got an impromptu shoulder rub.

Drake is undeniably a Raptors superfan. But with the Raptors meeting the Golden State Warriors in the Finals (which starts on Thursday), the matchup could get a bit awkward for Drake.

That’s because Drake has tattoos dedicated to Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. Really, he does.

Drake shared an Instagram photo from back in 2018 that showed bicep tattoos of Curry’s No. 30 and Durant’s No. 35 with “Snipe” written underneath. Mercury News columnist Dieter Kurtenbach offered Twitter a reminder of those tattoos after the Raptors Game 6 win.

Both tattoos were also around in 2017.

Smelling like 1997…

Basically, Drake is close friends with plenty of the Warriors players. He literally had a line in “Summer Sixteen” that said, “Golden State running practice at my house.” And according to Curry, the Warriors actually did play basketball at Drake’s house. Those tattoos seem to be genuine homage to the Warriors stars.

Unless there are some Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry tattoos that we don’t know about, we should probably expect Drake to have his arms covered during the NBA Finals.
