Drake has joined the surprise album bandwagon, choosing the night of 12 February to unexpectedly release If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, accompanied by a short film, Jungle.
The 17-track collection was released on iTunes and intitally on Drake’s OVO blog, though that was taken down.
Drake is a “global ambassador” for the Toronto Raptors basketball team, and the prospect of a new collection was first hinted at by Raptors player DeMar DeRozan last year. Billboard reports that If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late does not supplant Views from the 6, Drake’s fourth official album, which is expected later this year.
