The Philadelphias 76ers are a total mess.
The team headed to Toronto on Tuesday looking to win a pivotal Game 5 in what was an even series.
Then they lost that Game 5 by a whopping 36 points, 125-89, and now their season is very much in jeopardy of coming to a close at home on Thursday night.
Once again Joel Embiid fought through a nasty virus to play in the game, but he wasn’t his dominant self, finishing with just 13 points. You could tell how he slowly entered the stadium before the game that it wasn’t going to be a good night for him. And probably not a good night for his team, either.
And boy was it a bad night for all of the Sixers.
It got so bad that Drake mocked Embiid as the center left the floor in the fourth quarter, doing Embiid’s signature airplane flying celebration:
