Drake paid tribute to Kobe Bryant at his in-home basketball court

It’s been about two months since Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others were killed in a California helicopter crash. And the sports world continues to mourn the loss of a basketball icon.

While murals all over the world have gone up to honor Bryant and his memory, Drake took a different approach with memorializing Bryant at his home.

Drake shared a video from his in-home basketball court this week — alluding to his self isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic. And in the video, we can see the additions that Drake made to his court. He added the numbers 8 and 24 to the wall to honor Kobe.

I must say, that’s a great gesture from Drake. And it shows just how far-reaching Kobe’s impact extended beyond basketball.

And good on Drake for practicing social distancing.
