Drake just made £1.2m after betting on two Scousers to win at UFC London

American rapper Drake has seemingly netted a mouth-watering £1.2m after Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett both triumphed at UFC London on Saturday evening.

The four-time Grammy winner revealed on his Instagram account on Saturday afternoon that he backed the Scouse duo to win their bouts against Hannah Goldy and Jordan Leavitt, lodging a Bitcoin stake of $2.296,211.30 (£1.9million) with Crypto betting Platform company, Stake.

Drake is reported to be a huge fan of online sports betting and, given his fortunes, stakes in the excess of $1m are nothing new to the four-time Grammy winner. He also has links to Stake.com, where the bet was apparently placed, with the website referring to Drake as a "long-time member of the Stake community".

He announced his wager with the caption 'A scousers parlay' - and both fighters did him, and their city, proud.

McCann was first up out of the two and defeated her American counterpart with ease in the first round as she produced a wonderful spinning elbow before brutal beating Goldy with a Ground and Pound combination, which was enough for the referee to intervene and wave the fight off.

Pimblett, nicknamed "The Baddy", also made easy work of his American opponent as his second round chokehold caused Leavitt to tap out.

Their wins mean Drake will net a healthy return of $3,723,077.00 (£3.1m), a profit of £1.2million.
