'Drake Curse' explained as Italian side Roma bans players from taking pics with rap icon

Italian football club Roma has banned their players from posing for photos with rap star Drake after he gained a reputation as being a bad luck charm to sports stars.

The Serie A side issued the order over the “Drake curse”’ theory, which re-emerged when Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa became the latest footballer to pose for a photo with the Canadian star only to see his team lose their very next game.

PSG’s spectacular 5-1 loss to Lille on Sunday reignited suspicions about the God’s Plan singer, who has posed with a string of footballers during his Assassination Vacation tour at venues across Europe in the last month.

Paul Pogba saw him perform at the Manchester Arena and got a picture taken with him not long before Manchester United lost 2-1 to Wolves in the FA Cup last month.
