Drake 'confirms' Top Boy season 4 will arrive on Netflix in 2020

Top Boy fans can rejoice as rapper Drake appears to have confirmed its return on Netflix in 2020.

The Canadian music superstar was seen to be instrumental in getting the British crime drama revived by the streaming service last year after it was cancelled by original broadcaster Channel 4 in 2014.

On an Instagram post by GRM Daily , an image of an article naming Top Boy "Netflix's most popular series of 2019" was accompanied by the caption: "Will we see a new series in 2020?"

The question then appeared to be answered when Drake arrived in the replies to comment: "Of course"

The series came back to Netflix on October 31, 2019 with a series of ten episodes billed on the streaming giant as Top Boy season 1, while the first two runs from Channel 4 were retitled Top Boy: Summerhouse.

It would suggest that the fourth run of episodes will likely be called Top Boy season 2 on the streaming giant.

Fans can likely expect the drama to return in late 2020, while speculation will likely rage that one of the characters apparently killed-off in the third season
