Tidal may have scooped some of the biggest names in music for its launch, but some major names were absent from the surreal, celebrity-filled conference in March - notably Drake and Pharrell, who are both said to be lined up for Apple’s new streaming service.

It is rumoured that iTunes Radio will be unveiled this month, and, ahead of its big reveal, the company has enlisted high-profile names for its guest DJ roster, including the Canadian rapper and Williams, according to Rolling Stone. Both acts will reportedly appear as guest DJs on the new broadcasting venture. However, the $19m price tag, previously quoted by some publications, has now been denied.

David Guetta is also among the names said to be affiliated with the service. Former Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe was confirmed earlier this year.

iTunes Radio is the latest strand of the Apple brand constructed to compete in the booming streaming market. Some reports claim Apple will offer its streaming service for free for the first three months before a monthly subscription kicks in.

More details are likely to follow during Apple’s 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference next week.
