Hip-hop stars Drake and Migos have made the "necessary decision" to postpone their joint summer tour, which was set to kick off on Thursday.
Instead of beginning in Salt Lake City, the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour will debut in Kansas City on Aug. 10, according to a statement from Drake's spokesperson. The Salt Lake City show has now been moved to Oct. 10.
"In order to deliver the high standard tour experience our fans expect and deserve, we have made the necessary decision to slightly adjust the beginning of the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour schedule," said the statement, which concert promoter Live Nation also released.
The tour's planned dates in the Los Angeles area are unaffected. Two concerts at Staples Center (Oct. 12-13) and two at the Forum in Inglewood (Oct. 16-17) are still on.
A limited number of additional shows have been rescheduled and tickets purchased for the original show dates will be honored for the rescheduled dates.
The Canadian rapper and hip-hop trio announced their sprawling North American tour in May ahead of the release of Drake's "Scorpion" album, which he dropped in late June. Rap trio Migos released its "Culture II" album in January, featuring Drake on "Walk It Talk It."
The postponement also comes on the heels of the arrest of Migos rapper Offset in Georgia over the weekend, but that doesn't appear to have factored into the postponement.
