Dragons' Bartlett accused of NRLW bite

St George Illawarra's Maddison Bartlett will be the first NRLW player to face the judiciary in 2022. (AAP)

St George Illawarra's Madison Bartlett is headed to the judiciary after being charged with biting a Parramatta player during the Dragons' NRLW win.

The Dragons winger is accused of biting the arm of Sereana Naitokatoka in the 38th minute of Sunday's clash with the Eels in Wollongong.

Bartlett was returning a line dropout when she was tackled by Naitokatoka and another Eels player.

It will be alleged Bartlett bit her opponent while five-eighth Naitokatoka was on top of her completing the tackle.

Soon after, referee Belinda Sharpe can be heard asking Naitokatoka "are you making an allegation?" while she was tended to by a club doctor.

Naitokatoka, meanwhile, is also charged relating to the same incident, for making dangerous contact with Bartlett's head and neck.

But she does not face a penalty for that act, instead being issued with a warning.

Kody House was charged for another incident involving Natiokatoka, having shoulder charged the Parramatta No.6 after she passed the ball on a fifth tackle in the 20th minute.

House, who was penalised for a late tackle and reported, can accept a one-game suspension or fight the charge and risk a second game being added to her ban.
