Dragon Soop is launching a swanky new product and introducing a new line of bottled products.
The new Dragon Soop E.S.Q. - which stands for Extra Special Quality - will be bottled in 70cl glass containers and will come in Wild Dark Fruits and Tangerine Dream flavours.
Both versions have been created using ‘quality fortified fermented schnapps’ and will be 15% ABV.
The alcohol level in the bottles is higher than the ready mixed cans which are 7.5% ABV.
Chiefs behind the alcopop brand have dubbed the release of E.S.Q as ‘Scotland’s worst kept secret’ after dozens of mock ups of the product emerged on social media.
This reportedly prompted a string of pre-production orders of the high-caffeine alcoholic drink before a drop had even hit the new bottles.
But punters can finally get their hands on the new product at shops this week.
Isabelle Kent, sales and marketing director for Corinthian Brands, said: “Early indications confirm our first venture into 70cl glass is a major success story on the back of the already hugely successful Dragon Soop brand.”
News of the glass bottles appears to have split opinion on social media - with some fans vowing not to touch them, while others can't wait to get their hands on the stuff.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Can safely say I’ll never be buying one of those bottles of Dragon Soop.”
Another said: “Those bottles of Dragon Soop are honestly giving me the fear.”
However some are celebrating its release.
One said: “All ready in the bag mate.”
Another wrote: “Best ad I’ve seen all year.”
The company have vowed to continue producing its original packaging of 500ml cans and the 10 flavours that come with them.
