Deborah Meaden has praised the NHS after she was rushed to A&E.

Thanking the nurses who looked after her, Deborah said: "I know you know but our #NHS is blooming brilliant. Went in fractured wrist. several x rays, manipulation under painkillers with reassuring voice in my ear and I leave with plastercast and wrist on the mend."

She added on Instagram: "Every one of you so caring, careful and very reassuring. We must never stop appreciating our amazing #nhs. There when you need them in bucketloads."

Deborah also responded to a follower who asked how she had managed to receive treatment so quickly.

The person said: "The NHS are amazing but I struggle to understand how you have had this procedure done in 1 day when a man recently on the news with a triple hernia which stops him working has been told it will be 2 years before his operation. My question is why ?"

Deborah replied: "Because it was A and E and an emergency… the NHS don't leave people with broken limbs. I was in the same queue as everyone else. We are all people after all."

Fellow Dragon Den stars flocked to the comments section to wish their co-star a speedy recovery.

Theo Paphitis tweeted: "A speedy recovery to you Deborah - you look like you're in safe hands!"

While Sara Davies wrote: "Omg what's happened!?!"
