Draft Wire projects where Titans will pick in 2021 NFL Draft

We may have just made it through one of the weirdest drafts in the history of the league, but it’s never too early to start thinking about the 2021 NFL Draft.

Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling recently projected where each team would pick in the first round of the event based on the latest Super Bowl odds and placed the Tennessee Titans at No. 17 overall.

That’s ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 18), via the Los Angeles Rams’ pick, and behind the Cleveland Browns (No. 16).

Obviously, this projection means the Titans won’t replicate their 2019 success, but at least Tennessee still makes the playoffs as the No. 7 seed in this scenario.

The Titans seem intent on “running it back” with most of their 2019 team, most notably signing quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a four-year extension worth $118 million and placing the franchise tag on star running back Derrick Henry.

The team had a solid draft as well, presumably filling the void left by right tackle Jack Conklin with former Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson, and acquiring ex-LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton in the second round to bolster the secondary after losing cornerback Logan Ryan.

It will be interesting to see how much this projection aligns with reality when all is said and done after the coming season.
