Draft Wire pegs Ravens LB Patrick Queen among top values in 1st round of 2020 NFL Draft

The Baltimore Ravens were lauded for their haul in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Ravens walked away from draft weekend with 10 new players, including a lot of steals. Baltimore earned high praise for their draft class, with some pundits admitting they got even better than they already were.

It all started in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft where the Ravens picked who many had mocked to them in LSU linebacker Patrick Queen. Inside linebacker had been Baltimore’s most pressing need entering the draft and Queen fell right into their laps, even after seeing several other linebackers go before him.

Luke Easterling of Draft Wire took a look at the values found in the first round, comparing where players were selected with where he had them on his big board. With a plus-one value designation, the Ravens and Queen tie for the ninth-highest grade for their first-round pick.

Though Baltimore got a good value picking Queen at No. 28, they’ll need him to produce like a first-round pick immediately. Right in the middle of a Super Bowl window — thanks to quarterback Lamar Jackson’s stellar play, a league-leading rushing attack, and a competent defense — top play from Queen could be the final piece of the puzzle to get the Ravens into the big game and hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
