Dr Hook set to play their 50th anniversary show in Ayrshire next weekend

Singer Dennis Locorriere is returning to Ayrshire this weekend – as part of the 50th anniversary world tour of his band Dr Hook.

The American-formed 1970s rock band are known for their hits 'Sharing the Night Together', 'Sylvia's Mother' and 'When You're in Love with a Beautiful Woman'.

After the Covid pandemic put a stop to their plans last year, Dennis and his band are excited to play the Kilmarnock Grand Hall on Saturday, November 6.

In a video message to Dr Hook’s UK fanbase announcing their rescheduled tour, singer Dennis said: “Guess what, you're not gonna believe me, but I'm gonna tell you anyway!

“We have gotten our heads back to the business of the Dr Hook 50th anniversary tour! We're gonna be in some great venues across the UK. Really, really lovely venues and we’d love to see everybody there.”

He added: “We've just stayed proactive and we've stayed positive. Everything is so uncertain, but we're not uncertain, we'll see you on the 50th anniversary tour!

“We hope you're all as excited about this news as we are!”
