Dr Hilary forced to explain 'innocent' tie as GMB fans spot 'rude' design

Good Morning Britain star Dr Hilary Jones was forced to explain the tie he was wearing after a hilarious reaction from fans.

GMB viewers began tweeting in about the show, after spotting some "rude" images on Hilary's outfit.

Some fans couldn't believe their eyes and began asking if anyone else had noticed the apparently inappropriate tie.

But it was all a hilarious case of a misunderstanding, leading to a mortified Dr Hilary explaining himself live on-air.

Fans had noticed Hilary's black and white tie almost immediately.

But it was the design of the piece that left them stunned and asking for clarification.

Several viewers thought his tie had images of the Playboy bunny logo all over it, calling it "rude".

One fan said: "Can someone please tell me what the designs are on Dr H's tie I think it might just be lockdown but they look rather rude."

Another asked: "Is that the Playboy bunny on Dr H's tie?"

A third viewer repeated the theory, believing this was this image on his tie.

In fact, Hilary's tie was a lot more "innocent" and featured Bugs Bunny - whose famous line is "What's up, doc?".

Some fans had realised this themselves, with many saying how much they loved the outfit choice.

Dr Hilary was quick to respond to the comments, insisting it wasn't what they were thinking.

Horrified, he said: "No! It's 'What's up, doc?' It's much more innocent!"

He then quickly began showing his tie to the camera which zoomed in on it for extra reassurance.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
