Dr Alex George has floated the idea of wellness rooms to be made available to NHS staff on the frontline of this pandemic during a call with Dr Hilary Jones and Lorraine Kelly this morning.
The doctor - who found fame on Love Island in 2018 - planted a seed on national TV that has sparked a movement to install rooms of relaxation for medics combating the deadly virus.
Speaking to Dr Hilary and his co-host Lorraine, Dr Alex said: "I've had so many messages actually since last week saying that people would like to try this in their hospital.
"I'd love to have your input from you both, do you think it's a good idea?"

To which Lorraine responded: "I think so yeah, absolutely - I'd love to see that in every single hospital. I know there's some little pockets all over the country where they have that, because I know it makes a difference."
Dr Hilary then gave his input on the idea, agreeing with Lorraine: "Yeah it's like a common room that you'd have anywhere that you can go somewhere and be quiet or to chat or float some of the stuff that's going on in your head - to get it away from a clinical setting."

He added: "Just to be able to distance yourself for a moment from everything else that you're seeing right now. Really important.
"And the NHS has always neglected the health of its staff, if we could only have a gym in each hospital and we could have a place like this where people can share their emotions, we'd have a healthier staff as well."

Agreeing with everything the telly doctor has said, Lorraine added: "You're right, and that's the most important thing - Dr Alex, I think were going to start a campaign to get these all over the country, because clearly they work and you're right - it doesn't take that much to turn a store cupboard into something of a little sanctuary."
Delighted at the news of Lorraine and Dr Hilary getting behind the idea, Dr Alex highlighted how important mental health is for frontline workers.

He said: "I would absolutely be behind that and I agree with what Dr Hilary has said. Mental health is so so important and I think more than ever now this has become an issue we're focusing on for frontline staff as well as the general community.
"You only need a small space - a cupboard room. We can do this in hospitals across the UK. Let's get it started."
