DPD delivery driver stabbed outside Hamilton home

Police have launched an investigation after a delivery driver was stabbed in Hamilton.

A DPD driver was set upon outside a property on Portland Place.

It’s understood the victim was stabbed in the stomach and leg before the perpetrator made off.

The area, just 250 yards away from Woodside Primary School, is now surrounded by cops and the victim was rushed to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.40pm on Tuesday, 19 May, 2020, police received a report of a disturbance in involving two men in Portland Place, Hamilton.

“One man has been taken to hospital following a serious assault.

“Officers remain at the scene conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances."
