Ryder Cup hero Shane Lowry leads the inaugural DP World India Championship following an opening round of 64 (-8) at Delhi Golf Club.
The Irishman went bogey-free around the tight tree-lined layout, which has previously hosted the Hero Indian Open in years gone by, and reeled off eight birdies to sit one stroke in front of Japan's Keita Nakajima.
Each of Lowry's Ryder Cup peers also fared relatively well, with Ben Griffin, Tommy Fleetwood and Luke Donald among the group on four-under through 18 holes.
Rory McIlroy - who joined most of the field in opting to leave his driver in the locker room - was only a stroke further back still following an eventful three-under 69 that featured six birdies and three bogeys.
The only other European Ryder Cup player in the field this week, Viktor Hovland, signed for a one-under 71 and sits in T44th with three rounds still to play.
Hovland, McIlroy and Griffin will resume their championship on the first hole at 12:10pm local time on Friday, while Lowry, Fleetwood and Donald begin on the 10th at 7:35am local time.
