Dozens of trains in Cardiff has been cancelled and diverted due to damage to overhead electrical wires. Transport for Wales (TfW) issued an update on Friday (February 24) to say that there are delays to services between Llandaff and Radyr as some lines were blocked.
"Train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes," the announcement said, adding that disruption is expected until 5pm. Tickets are being accepted with Cardiff Bus for passengers between Queen St and Radyr via Cathays and Llandaff, and also from Radyr to Coryton.
Some 31 train cancellations have been announced, starting from 6.52am until 3pm. Most of these are between Radyr and Coryton and are due to damage to the electrical wires. But there are some other cancellations - such as between Cardiff Central and Carmarthen - due to a shortage of train crew.
Meanwhile, TfW has also announced 41 train service updates for lines across Wales and parts of England, between 5.12am until 2.08pm, which include diversions and delays. You can see the full list of cancellations and service updates here.
