There was a photographer and a competition for the best dressed dog.

Some of the pooches were dressed in outfits such as a bowtie, a shirt collar and a tie, and a 'The Incredibles' outfit.

A disabled dachshund showed up in a pram.

Owners, who paid £7.80 per ticket, received 'puppuccinos' and treats on entry.

Run by Devon-based Pup Up Café, the Leeds event was the company's first dachshund event.

The café has proven to be a huge success at other venues across the country , which prompted owner Marcus Ackford to venture further north.

Tickets for those without dogs cost £9.80 and children under five got free entry.
