Dozens of families offer to adopt 'beautiful, inquisitive' two-year-old Olivia

More than 50 families have offered to adopt a little girl who has spent her whole life looking for a home - and faced being placed in permanent care.

Social workers launched a last-chance appeal for two-year-old Olivia - a ''beautiful, inquisitive'' girl with an ''amazing smiley face".

Olivia has health disabilities which mean she will always need care - but if a family isn't found she will be placed in care or fostering.

Since the appeal went live a Devon adoption agency has been contacted by more than 50 possible adoptive families.

Karen Dale, Family for Me project manager, said they are 'surprised and excited' to receive more than 50 enquiries.

She said: "We have been surprised and excited by the significant number of enquiries we have received from people wanting to learn about becoming an adoptive family for Olivia, since releasing her appeal.

Despite her multiple health needs Olivia is described as a contented child with "an amazing smiley face." (SWNS)

"We feel confident that this beautiful little girl will soon find the family she deserves and thank those who have come forward.

''We very much hope that these enquiries will help us match more children from the project with their forever family.''

Sadly Olivia is just one of five children who the agency is currently trying to find a family for.

Meanwhile, the Mirror reports that Katie Price has indicated that she "would love" to adopt Olivia.

Her plight touched Katie's heart, who shared her story on Instagram and wrote alongside it: "I would love to (have) her in my family."

The former glamour model also added two heart emojis.

Katie already has 19-year-old Harvey, who has Septo-optic Dysplasia, a rare genetic disorder affecting his eyesight, as well as autism and Prader-Willi syndrome which can cause learning difficulties and behavioural problems, as well as Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jet, seven, and Bunny, six.
