Dozens of children's toys sold in Ireland urgently recalled over 'strangulation' fears

Dozens of children's toys sold in Ireland have been recalled over safety fears.

The first product is a child's Ninja costume sold on the Wish platform with a type/model number of A L101-B-1 / B18065.S and has been highlighted for presenting a "strangulation risk".

A total of 26 units of the Ninja costume were sold to customers in the Republic of Ireland.

While a soft toy character from the film Totoro with an unknown batch or model number was also recalled due to a "choking risk".

A total of 10 units of this product were sold to customers in Ireland.

A Competition and Consumer Protection Commission spokesman said: "These toy products were sold online through the Wish platform.

"If you believe that you may have purchased an affected product, discontinue use immediately, discard the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

"Purchasers of these products from the Wish platform will be immediately alerted by Wish and issued with full refunds."
