Dozens of people woke up to find their tyres slashed after vandals went on the rampage in Tameside .
Police in Hyde confirmed they are investigating at least 20 incidents, however the total number of vehicles targeted is reportedly closer to 50.
The damage is believed to have been done in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Many of the cars that had their tyres slashed were parked in the area surrounding Nelson Street.
There were also numerous reports on Grange Road and Market Street, it is understood.
One woman told the Manchester Evening News: "I just was woken by my boyfriend's neighbour this morning to the news my tyre was slashed," she said.
"When we went outside all the neighbours were out and six cars had all been damaged.

"I've had to pay £62 worth of damage out of my own pocket and I’ve heard there’s around 50 cars been done, I’m just glad it was vehicles only, we could’ve woken up to the news that 50 people were wounded if someone's walking around with sharp instruments looking to cause trouble.
"The police are well aware and had already logged a number of reports."
Other owners have been left even deeper out of pocket - some hundreds of pounds - after waking up to find multiple tyres ruined.
GMP Hyde tweeted urging all victims to report the damage.
The tweet read: "In the early hours of this morning 20+ cars damaged mainly by the tyres being slashed.
"This occurred in and around Nelson Street, Hyde. If your car has been damaged please ring 101 to report it."
