Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery has revealed she has a secret Instagram account for her dog so she can “stalk everyone”.
The actress, 40, who plays Lady Mary, joked she is “not very good” at Instagram - but her pooch is.
Appearing on Jimmy Fallon on Monday for the franchise’s new film A New Era, the host told Michelle she was “very rare” because he couldn’t find a trace of her on social media.
“I do have one actually. I have one for my dog. I’m one of those people. And then I stalk everyone”, she said.
“No one knows it’s my dog.”
The actress told Jimmy she posts photos of her beloved greyhound and follows a few interior Instagram accounts.
“It’s quite boring really”, she said.
Elsewhere, Michelle spoke about how she “loved” turning 40 and struggled to find work before getting her big break.
The actress said on Josh Smith’s podcast Reign: “I was 26. I was living with three other girls in a big house. It felt like a student house.”
Michelle said she was “anticipating disappointment” having had a string of unsuccessful auditions.
“I remember getting the audition and thinking ‘this is a big one’.
“I got the call from my agent and I had to sit down. When I look back in that moment, it was life changing.”
