Doug Pederson says the Eagles have discussed quarantining a QB for extra safety precautions

The 2020 NFL season will be unlike any we’ve ever seen due to the Covid-19 pandemic and navigating this season could take some innovation on the part of coaches.

With some high profile games on the horizon head coach, Doug Pederson was asked about the possibility of quarantining one of his signal-callers in case of emergency.

Quarterback is the most important position in football and if Wentz, Jalen Hurts, Kyle Lauletta, or Nate Sudfeld were to contract the coronavirus, it would likely end up impacting all three passers on the roster, likely forcing Philadelphia to look outside the organization until those players return.

The likely player would be Sudfeld, who in case of emergency, would spend most of the week quarantining in-case of a Saturday night or early Sunday morning emergency involving Wentz or Jalen Hurts.

Because Hurts is a rookie, an asset, and needs to be around Wentz as much as possible, he can’t be the quarantine candidate, but the discussions alone are going to continue, making this season unique beyond our wildest imagination.
