Doug Pederson says Nigel Bradham will play vs. Redskins; Won’t face discipline for skipping preseason finale

Doug Pederson and Nigel Bradham are on good terms and the Eagles middle linebacker is all set to start against the Washington Redskins on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. Bradham was scrutinized this week for going “AWOL” during the Eagles preseason finale against the New York Jets.

Bradham fell ill on Wednesday, and although he wasn’t expected to play, the middle linebacker failed to communicate his illness to the team, missing the bus to MetLife Field.

On Friday, Pederson confirmed that Bradham would not face any disciplinary actions and stated that he trusts his middle linebacker.

“I trust Nigel. We had a great conversation Pederson said Via Zack Rosenblatt. It’s behind us … he’s focused on the Redskins just like I am.”

On Thursday, Bradham told Tim McManus of ESPN.com, that he expected to fined for his absence, though it hadn’t been handed down as of Thursday afternoon.
