Doug Pederson says Eagles are comfortable moving forward with the backup QB’s on the roster

The Philadelphia Eagles seem content with the quarterbacks they have on their roster currently, so the conversations about adding a Colin Kaepernick can be put on the backburner for now. During his press conference on Saturday, Doug Pederson addressed the quarterback depth behind Carson Wentz and made it seem as if the Eagles are fine with who they have on the roster.

Nate Sudfeld underwent surgery Friday to repair the broken wrist suffered on Thursday against the Titans and while Pederson declined to provide an exact timeline for Sudfeld’s return, he was confident that the Birds would “get him back soon.”

“There’s really not a lot to be said about the quarterback position,” Pederson told reporters. “We’re very comfortable with the two we have. They are going to get a lot of work now these next several weeks obviously in practice. It’s like any other position on our football team. If we see the need to add depth and value, we will, but at this time we’re confident with the guys we have and moving forward.”

Pederson would not elaborate on the Eagles plans at the position if Sudfeld was unable to play in the season opener.
