Doug Pederson reaffirms his love for Jalen Mills; says he won’t be moved to safety

Jalen Mills has his critics and those that believe he shouldn’t be the Eagles starting cornerback. Doug Pederson is not one of those people. The Philadelphia Eagles head coach addressed the media at the league meetings on Tuesday and made it clear that Jalen Mills is his guy.

Mills struggled at times last season with injury and doubles moves, but that hasn’t stopped Pederson from sticking by the embattled cornerback who has various highs and lows each week. When asked if the aggressive cornerback could be moved to safety, Pederson made it clear that it won’t happen.

Last season, Pederson stood up for Mills amid calls for the Eagles to bench or even move on from the embattled cornerback, with Philadelphia fans being the most critical. Pederson said Mills might be ready for training camp as well, after recovering from a foot injury.
