Doug Pederson provides an update on DeSean Jackson who’ll likely miss his 5th straight game

Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to miss his fifth straight game with an abdomen injury according to head coach Doug Pederson. Not wanting to risk further injury or rush Jackson back, the Eagles will likely hold him out of Sunday nights tilt with the Dallas Cowboys.

DeSean Jackson on the verge of missing his fifth straight game with a Grade 2 abdominal strain. "With this injury, it's tricky. He wants to be 100 percent, we want him to be 100 percent, so I'm not going to push him, I'm not going to rush him," Pederson said.

Jackson has targeted this Sunday as a return date but has not practiced this week and will be forced to watch his teammates battle for first place in the NFC East. Without Jackson, the Eagles deep passing game has struggled, as the Birds are only averaging less than nine yards per target.
