Doug Pederson optimistic that Derek Barnett we’ll be ready for training camp

Derek Barnett is a huge asset for the Philadelphia Eagles and even as the team employs a pass rush by committee approach, it’ll be imperative to have the talented former first-round pick back in uniform. During minicamp on Wednesday, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said he’s confident that Barnett should be a full-go for training camp.

In 2018, Barnett played seven games before being placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery. He recorded 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks on the year.

Barnett is set to join Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and Malik Jackson in the Eagles vaunted front four.
