Doug Pederson on Travis Fulgham’s reduced snaps: Alshon Jeffery is ‘healthier’ and playing better

Travis Fulgham was on pace for a 1,000-yard receiving season following Week 8 of the 2020 NFL regular season, but that momentum has quickly come to a halt with Alshon Jeffery’s return to the lineup.

Since Jeffery’s return, Fulgham has four catches, for 32-yards and is coming off a game against New Orleans, where he wasn’t targeted at all.

On Wednesday, head coach Doug Pederson was asked about Fulgham being phased out of the Eagles’ offense. Pederson attributed it to Jeffery being “healthier” and playing better.

Fulgham’s targets have diminished and it appears that the Eagles believe Jeffery is the better player at this point, thus giving the team the best shot at victory.
