The Philadelphia Eagles are a tight-knit bunch and a team that’s no longer considered an underdog is taking a new approach to the 2019 NFL season. During the final day of the Eagles mandatory minicamp, Pederson introduced a new, unofficial slogan for the Birds.
For the Eagles, “Everything Matters,” and that’s the message Pederson is preaching to his team via Crossing Broad.
“Everything we do in life matters; you have choices and consequences to those choices.
I feel like as a football team, as coaches and players, even personnel support staff, everybody in the organization – everything we do matters. It matters to winning games or losing games on the football field. I just want to keep kind of reiterating that point to our team, and just getting them to understand that if we jump offsides in practice, we’re probably going to jump offsides in a game. If we don’t do the little things right in practice, we probably won’t do them in a game. Everything that we do matters.”
Pederson reiterated that as a football team — including everyone in the organization — what they do matters as far as winning goes, and it’s an approach that he’ll continue emphasizing throughout the year. It looks like the Eagles are working on cleaning up the mistakes that cost them games early in 2018.
