Doug Pederson announces Jalen Hurts will remain the Eagles starting QB

After taking a few hours to sleep on it, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson just announced that Jalen Hurts, will remain Philadelphia’s starting quarterback for the Week 15 matchup against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.

During his morning appearance on 94WIP, Pederson had this to say.

“I’m going to take a look at [the Saints film]. I’m going to look at a lot of different things before I make that determination this week,” he said.

Hurts went 17-for-30 for 167 yards and a touchdown against New Orleans and also carried the ball 18 times for 106 yards, becoming the fifth Eagles quarterback to rush for 100 yards in the Super Bowl era, joining Mike Vick, Donovan McNabb, Randall Cunningham, and Jack Concannon.

Even more importantly, Hurts utilized his legs to avoid any negative plays while avoiding being sacked or throwing an interception.
