Doug Pederson alters practice schedule to aid banged-up Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are just three weeks into the 2019 NFL regular season, yet injuries and concerns about depth have forced Doug Pederson to resort to a late season practice schedule. According to Jeff McLane of The Inquirer and Zach Berman of The Athletic, Pederson has altered the Birds practice schedule, forgoing a full session for a walk through instead.

The Eagles play two games in 11 days, hosting the Detroit Lions at home on Sunday, then traveling to Lambeau Field, for a huge Thursday night tilt against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Pederson has chosen to return to the late season practice schedule that the team utilized during their playoff run.

Jeffery, Jackson, Goedert and running back Corey Clement all left the Falcons game with injuries and are likely out for the Lions. On Tuesday, Philadelphia promoted tight end Alex Ellis from the practice squad to its 53-man roster.
