Doug Gottlieb doubles down on bad Andrew Luck tweet with a long rant about millennials

Fox Sports personality Doug Gottlieb drew plenty of backlash this weekend when he reacted to Andrew Luck’s retirement with a tweet calling the decision “the most millennial thing ever.”

In the days since, Gottlieb has been called out by NFL players and absolutely destroyed by Fox Sports colleague Troy Aikman over the tweet. But Gottlieb’s Twitter account went the rest of the weekend pretending the tweet didn’t happen at all.

He predictably waited until his Monday radio show to address his bad tweet, and, no, don’t expect an apology from Gottlieb. He doubled down.

In a four-minute rant, Gottlieb dismissed the tweet as nothing more than snark. He also took exception with people bringing up that he stole credit cards at Notre Dame. Then, he went on to complain about millennial culture with a bunch of lazy generalizations.

Ugh.

Of course, he could have just apologized and moved on. But that just wouldn’t have filled the air time.
