Doug Baldwin had knee, shoulder surgery this offseason

Long known for being one of the most durable players in the game, Seattle Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin suffered through myriad injuries in a trying 2018 season.

Even though he appeared in 13 regular-season games, Baldwin was frequently on the injury report, dealing with a nagging knee injury that cropped up near the end of the preseason and a shoulder injury that popped up near the end of the year.

At the NFL combine, Seahawks general manager John Schneider mentioned Baldwin “had a couple things that he got worked on” this offseason, but doesn’t anticipate that it will slow him down heading into 2019.

Coach Pete Carroll echoed a similar sentiment, adding Baldwin is working out at Seattle’s practice facility regularly.

“His spirits are good about it,” Carroll added. “He’s got some work to do. He’s got a shoulder and a knee thing that he’s working on. He got some stuff fixed up.”

Still, Carroll anticipates having Baldwin, who hauled in 50 passes for 618 yards and five touchdowns last season, being a big part of Seattle’s offense again next year.
