Double trouble

Bono ... or is it Robin Williams? Photograph: Jeff J Mitchell/Getty Images

Last week Lost in Showbiz was morbidly fascinated when we saw pictures of Bono removing his trademark rose-tinted sunglasses for what appears to be only the second time in nine (yes, NINE) years. The first time this miracle occurred was in 1999 when Bono, in his own inimitable style, asked Pope John Paul II: "Holy father, do you want a pair of fly shades?"

Who could refuse an offer like that? Not even God's second in command, apparently. The more observant of you may notice that the Pope, donning the black-rimmed specs, is definitely not looking Bono in the eye.

When Bono again appeared spec-less last week, Lost in Showbiz thought for a minute that we were looking at a photo of the actor Robin Williams. "Peas from the same pod!" we cried - before, erm, actually crying ... who would have thought we'd prefer Bono with his glasses on?

Our shock at Bono's descent into old fogey-dom prompted a dig around to see what other looky-likey slebs existed. This is what we found:

Familiar to fashionistas, Strokes fans and Grazia readers the world over, model Agyness Deyn became famous last year for her bleached blonde crop which sparked the whole androgyny subject all over again. However, it turns out that she's not nearly as original as we first thought. Her hair is actually modelled on that of 80s supermodel Jeny Howorth, who caused many an artfully lipsticked pout to drop when she chopped off her tresses. Fancy that - the two models share the same hairdresser.

Poor old Robbie Coltrane got a bit of a shock last week when rather than appearing on a billboard dressed as an oversized groundskeeper, he was emblazoned in black and white A4 glory on lamp-posts all over Christchurch. New Zealand's hapless police force were having no luck in their hunt for a serial burglar, so, in an inspired Sherlock Holmes-esque bit of detecting, they decided to issue a 'Wanted' poster bearing a picture of Coltrane. If you could manage to read the small print through tears of laughter, it asked informants to visualise our Robbie as a lank, greasy haired teenager - he's a dead ringer for a 16-year-old crook, apparently. Of course, we haven't got a picture of the actual culprit to compare Robbie to, but we thought we'd include this bizarre snippet anyway.

In Pedro Almodovar's 'Bad Education', actor Gael Garcia Bernal (somehow managing to look attractive despite displaying a trout pout to rival Victoria Beckham's) strikes an imposing figure as Zahara, the transsexual drag act. Now if you look closely, he looks amazingly similar to bad girl rocker, Juliette Lewis. Or is it just us?

That's all we can dig up for now, but surely there are more out there. It's time to share your ingenious celebrity lookalikes with the world.
