Double murder investigation launched after two men found shot dead in car in West Midlands

A double murder investigation has been launched after police found two men shot dead inside a car on an industrial estate in the West Midlands.

Officers discovered two bodies inside a vehicle just off Moor Street in Brierley Hill, Dudley, at around 3.30pm yesterday (September 30).

Police say it is believed the victims were killed at the site shortly after 1pm.

The two men are yet to be identified, according to West Midlands Police, and a post mortem examination will take place in due course.

A statement from West Midlands Police said: "We sealed off the industrial estate, put cordons in place to preserve the scene and enquiries are already well underway.

"We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat at our website or call 101 quoting log 3204 from 30 Sept."

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it had been called to the scene at 3.30pm, sending an ambulance and paramedics.

“On arrival, crews discovered two male patients, both of whom were inside a car," a spokesperson said.

“It is believed they had been there for some time.

“Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save either of them and they were confirmed dead at the scene.”
