Double injury boost for West Ham as two midfielders passed fit to face Southampton

Manuel Lanzini and Samir Nasri have both been passed fit the feature against Southampton in the Premier League this weekend, Manuel Pellegrini has revealed.

The midfield duo have been out of action in recent weeks with groin and calf muscle injuries but the boss said at his pre-match press conference that only Andriy Yarmolenko and Andy Carroll were on the treatment table still ahead of the match this weekend.

Lanzini has missed the last two games with a groin problem he picked up during the second half of the defeat to Manchester United last month. Nasri meanwhile has really struggled with injury since he signed a six-month deal in January.

Nasri has been out of action for the past five games with a calf problem which he aggravated in the half time warm up of the defeat to Chelsea on April 8.

Aaron Cresswell will also be fit for the game on Saturday having overcome a minor knee injury but the good form of Arthur Masuaku may well keep the left back out of the side.
