Double Everton injury boost confirmed by Carlo Ancelotti ahead of Arsenal clash

Everton can welcome back Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Yerry Mina for Friday night's Premier League clash against Arsenal.

The former has missed the last two games with an abductor problem, whilst a similar issue kept the Colombia international out of last week's 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

But the good news for Everton ahead of facing Arsenal is that both are fit and available for selection once again.

Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the double injury boost during his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon and he can also call upon Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph, and Bernard at the Emirates Stadium.

In fact, the Merseyside's outfit's injury list is beginning to clear up ahead of the final part of the 2020/21 season with Abdoulaye Doucoure (foot) and Jean-Phillipe Gbamin (knee) the only absentees at the moment.

"We have a lot of players available – almost all the squad, apart from Doucoure and Gbamin who are out." Ancelotti told reporters. "The others are in good condition.

"We are ready to fight for this final part of the season.

"The squad is now much, much better and I have a lot of options, so I am pleased and confident."

Calvert-Lewin's return is certainly a massive boost for the Toffees as not only is he their top scorer this season with 19 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions, he has a decent record against the Gunners.

In two of his last three visits to the Emirates, the England international has got on the scoresheet - although the good news for Mikel Arteta 's side is that those games have ended in home wins.

Another victory would see Arsenal leapfrog Everton in the Premier League table by virtue of a superior goal difference and move them to within four points of Tottenham and Liverpool.
